Kent has served as both a Division Vice President and Principal-In-Charge for a 400 plus person MEP Consulting firm and has been responsible for managing a multi-discipline design team with multiple projects including Project Managers, Engineers and Engineering Technicians.  Kent initiated and developed a new branch office in Phoenix, AZ. where by he grew his staff to 17 engineers, designers, and administration staff. His responsibilities included daily participation in development of new clients, markets, maintaining existing client relationships and negotiation of fees, training and mentoring to engineers and designers as well as general staff management.  Technical resource for heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems design functions from conceptual design through construction.

Kent has also served as a principal and partner in another 100 person MEP consulting firm and was charged with the redevelopment of the companies management style from a disciplined based to a team based approach. Kent specializes in the areas of mechanical engineering design serving the needs of hospital facility engineers, architects and contractors in the provision for the most cost efficient and innovative engineering solutions. Specific specialties include Project management of healthcare design projects, including client/owner contact, fee negotiations, and architectural/MEP project coordination and engineering team management.  HVAC design for healthcare facilities, commercial, laboratory, recreational and industrial facilities.  Testing and balancing report evaluation for system commissioning code compliance, energy audits, MEP system audits, peer review, due diligence, Architectural/Engineering coordination, life safety code surveys and forensic engineering.
